Authors Note: Upon finishing the last chapter of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde I thought temptation and addiction were large factors for Dr. Jekyll’s decisions and a good writing topic.
Do
you think I should do it?
Should
I take the sip?
Trust
me it would just be a little bit.
My
watery mouth and my quivering lip
Cannot
bear it so I’ll take one hit
Do
not worry everything’s under control
Even
though this thing can take my soul
As
it runs down my throat I can feel the pain
And
then my body begins to change
It
felt like death when it entered my brain
And
it sort of left me feeling strange
For
sure I though this would be my grave
But
now this feeling of pure evil and pain
Is
what I’m addicted to and crave
